September 30 - October 3: Savor the Central Coast. Sunset's Savor the Central Coast event will celebrate the beauty and bounty of this unspoiled and largely unexplored part of the Golden State in an incredible four-day experience. October 2-3: Harbor Festival. An annual celebration of the Central Coast's unique food, wine, lifestyle, and working waterfront. October 22-24: Morro Photo Expo. Morro Bay has been referred to as the center of nature photography in California, affording magnificent photo opportunities from virtually every vantage point. November 18 (arriving late, depending on tide) - 21: Tall Ship Lady Washington Dockside Tours and Public Sails. Come and tour the historic Lady Washington. Embark on a sail and feel the wind in your face on an 18th century merchant sloop. The Lady Washington has appeared as the HMS Interceptor in the film Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl, and the Brig Enterprise in Star Trek Generations. Our three-hour family-oriented Adventure Sail features a living history experience with demonstrations of tall ship handling, sea shanty singing, and maritime storytelling.
