Morro Bay 2015 Winter Bird Festival

January 16, 17, 18, & 19 – The Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival is a yearly eco-tourism event promoting an understanding and appreciation of birds and other wildlife and an awareness of environmental and conservation issues of the Central Coast, while contributing to the well-being of the Morro Bay community. The 2015 Festival will be the 19th year of this annual event. It all begins with the opening reception on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 5 p.m.

An Evening with Heart
February 7, 2015The Rotary Club of Morro Bay hosts the 4th annual “An Evening with Heart” dinner and auction at Morro Bay Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m on February 7th, 2015. Dinner will be a gourmet Italian buffet by guest Chef, Mari Lenci. Plus, Carnevale di Venezia decor, live entertainment, live & silent auctions, raffle & door prizes. Tickets are available in Morro Bay at Coast Electronics, Edward Jones, and Brickhouse BBQ. Tickers are $25 if purchased by Jan. 7, 2015, then increase to $30 per person. This event sells out every year! Event proceeds support Rotary Club activities such as local scholarships, donations to charitable organizations, and international water well projects. Cruisin' Morro Bay Car Show

April 30th through May 3rd – Cruisin’ Morro Bay Car Show returns for the 18th time in 2015! Starting Thursday evening, rare cars will begin arriving in Morro Bay for registration. On Friday, secure a spot on Main Street for Cruise Night as classics and other rare cars cruise past. Continue the party on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and talk with the car owners. The event wraps up on Sunday morning with the announcment of the best cars.

Morro Bay Music Festival

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Morro Bay Music Festival on Saturday, June 6. This one-day music extravaganza will take place bayside at Tidelands Park on the Embarcadero from 11:00am to 7:00pm. The Music Festival will feature all local bands. Arts and craft vendors will be on hand. Beer, wine, and food (including a delicious BBQ) will be available for purchase. Bring your lawns chairs and enjoy the day by the Bay. Admission will be $2 per person at the door, with kids 12 and under FREE. All proceeds from the Morro Bay Music Festival go to the Morro Bay Harbor Festival.

Rock to Pier Fun Run & Half Marathon

2015 marks the 46th year of the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run. This approx 6 mile run/walk is held entirely on the beach from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. This event is open to all ages and abilities. The half marathon begins at Morro Rock, continues to the Cayucos Pier, turn around and head back towards Morro Rock.
