Congratulations, you've made it to the Friday before the big race! While the pre-race jitters may have already set in, rest assured that Friday is a day to unwind and prepare.

If you’re arriving on Friday, expect a chill day with a few scheduled race activities to keep your excitement up! Racers for both the adults-only IRONMAN 70.3 Morro Bay and IRONKIDS events can find check-in times scheduled throughout the day. Adult check-in and IRONKIDS registration and packet pick-up are available from 2 pm to 7 pm, with the Athlete Briefing for the adult racers available from 3 pm to 5 pm.

After you’ve checked off these to-dos at the IRONMAN Village, enjoy a leisurely stroll into downtown to explore some shops, grab a tasty meal at one of the many local restaurants, and allow yourself some seaside relaxation.

Missed Friday’s events or decided to Come Get Salty on Saturday? No worries! Saturday offers even more opportunity for a mixture of both race and leisure activity. If you’re there for the IRONKIDS Race, you can register and pick up their packet starting at 7am up until the race starts at 9 am.

Adult Athlete Check In, Mandatory Bike Check, and Timing Chip Pick Up open at 10 am and continue into the afternoon, with three Athlete Briefings scheduled for 11 am, 1 pm, and 3pm. Once you've hit up all the race events for the day, treat yourself to a delicious early dinner! Carbs are the way to go before a big race, and what better place to find them than in town? Chow down and fuel up before heading back to your accommodations for a good night’s sleep; in the morning, you’ll chase your finish (or watch some incredible athletes chase theirs!).

Race day kicks off bright and early with a starting time of 6 am, so if you're racing, best of luck! For those not racing, watch athletes conquer the course from a viewpoint on the Embarcadero, or at one of the local water-side restaurants.

Businesses will be open for business during the race, and we encourage you to explore our slice of Pacific paradise, whether you’re a spectator or someone who happened to book their vacation during the race! Don’t miss the awards ceremony, which commences around 2:30 pm!
