Who We Are

At Visit Morro Bay, our goal is simple: help more people discover just how special this place really is. From the salty sea air to the sea otters floating by, Morro Bay is full of moments worth sharing, and we’re here to make sure the world knows it.

We’re the official destination marketing organization for the City of Morro Bay. Since 2009, we’ve been leading efforts to promote the area through tourism marketing, event support, and community partnerships that keep Morro Bay thriving.

Visit Morro Bay is guided by the Morro Bay Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) Advisory Board, which represents the local hospitality and business community. We work closely with the City of Morro Bay to make sure everything we do supports local businesses, boosts tourism, and helps keep the city a beautiful and welcoming place to visit and live.

What We Do

Every visitor who books a room, tries a new restaurant, or shops along the Embarcadero plays a part in Morro Bay’s success. Our team focuses on creating the campaigns, stories, and experiences that inspire those visits.

How We’re Structured

Visit Morro Bay operates through the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID), which was established in 2009. The TBID is a public-private partnership funded by local lodging partners and overseen by an appointed advisory board.
