Frequently Asked Questions
What races are offered at the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run?
The event includes a half marathon and a 10k.
Are there cut-off times for the races?
Yes. The half marathon course closes at 12pm.
What conditions along the race course should I prepare for?
Because the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run is along the beach, you can expect your shoes to get wet and dirty. Plan your race-day gear accordingly!
Is there a post-race celebration?
Yes! After the race, there is a breakfast, live music, and an awards ceremony. Breakfast is included with registration (though more tickets can be purchased if you’d like to bring a guest) and includes sausage patties (or vegetarian sausage patties), pancakes, juice, coffee, and fruit.
Where can I park on race day?
Parking is limited in Cayucos, so all Rock to Pier Fun Run participants are encouraged to return to Morro Bay on event buses. Plenty of parking is available at Morro Rock and in the surrounding area, but traffic heading down to the rock can become congested, so we recommend arriving early.
Are dogs allowed on the race course?
No. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to the Snowy Plover nesting season.
