“The Butler Did It” is a delightful spoof of the golden age of murder mysteries. A group of mystery writers are invited to a mansion on an island, with instructions to assume their detective hero characters. A storm gathers and, of course, a murder occurs. Written by Tim Kelly and directed by Samvel Gottlieb, this whodunit will keep the audience guessing and laughing...and then guessing again!
Laura Richie plays the hostess to her writer guests Jenn Beck, Rick Bruce, Nicki Butler, Kira Dobson, Wren Hall, Christian Henry, Tim Linzey, Amanda Robinson and Landen Scott.
“The Butler Did It” plays July 24-August 9, at 545 Shasta Ave. in Morro Bay. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7pm, and Sundays at 3pm. Reservations are recommended at bytheseaproductions.org or 805-776-3287.
