Just about two miles north of Morro Rock, is a sandy paradise where you can listen to the waves crash as you relax on this open beach. This beach incorporates Morro Strand State Campground with 72 campsites behind a set of small sand dunes. 30 of these sites now have full hook-ups, 22 sites are for RV's, 50 sites are of standard size. There are picnic tables, city water and restrooms. No dogs are allowed on this portion of the beach, not even on a leash.
